The XTAR VC4 is the powerhouse of the VC series, expanding on the legendary VC2 by offering four independent slots and universal compatibility. Whether you are charging high-capacity Li-ion cells for a flashlight or Ni-MH rechargeables for household electronics, the VC4’s vibrant "tachometer" LCD gives you a front-row seat to your battery’s performance and health.

• Universal Dual-Chemistry Charging: No more separate chargers. The VC4 automatically identifies and charges Li-ion and Ni-MH/Ni-CD batteries at the same time in different slots.
• Detailed Quad-LCD Display: The upgraded tachometer-style screen monitors four batteries simultaneously. Track real-time current, battery voltage, and charged capacity for every cell.
• 0V Activation Function: Save money and reduce waste. The VC4 can "wake up" many over-discharged batteries that other chargers would report as dead.
• Intelligent Current Selection: The charger automatically detects the power source and the battery type to distribute current (0.5A across 4 slots or 1.0A in the two outer slots) for the most efficient charge.
• Accurate Capacity Testing: By measuring the "Real" capacity (the amount of charge actually accepted), you can easily spot which batteries are reaching the end of their life cycle.

Advanced Safety Suite

Engineered for peace of mind, the VC4 includes XTAR’s signature multi-protection system:

• Automatic Cut-off: Stops charging exactly when the battery is full to prevent overcharging.
• Reverse Polarity & Short Circuit Protection: Features an "Err" notification if batteries are inserted incorrectly.
• TC-CC-CV Three-Stage Charging: Slowly starts low-voltage cells, moves to constant current, and finishes with constant voltage to maximize battery health.
• Fire-Resistant Shell: Constructed from ABS flame-retardant materials to ensure safe operation even at maximum load.

Universal Compatibility

The VC4 is a nearly "one-size-fits-all" solution. The outer slots (1 and 4) are extra-wide to accommodate larger cells.

It does NOT charge AAA, AA 1.5v Li-Ion Batteries
