The VX2 Pro takes the guesswork out of battery maintenance with specialized modes for every stage of a battery’s life:

  1. Charge (CHG): The default smart-charging mode. It detects your battery type and applies the optimal algorithm (TC-CC-CV for Li-ion or CVSA for Ni-MH).

  2. Grade (Grad): Know your battery’s true health. This mode performs a full charge-discharge-charge cycle to measure the actual capacity in mAh and mWh.

  3. Storage (Store): Planning a break? This mode adjusts your batteries to the ideal voltage for long-term storage, preventing degradation and extending lifespan.

  4. Refresh: Specifically designed to revitalize old Ni-MH batteries by cycling them to eliminate the "memory effect."

  5. Discharge: Safely drains batteries to a cut-off point—perfect for preparing cells for recycling or specialized testing.
